Tip: The Suspension Trainer Complex

Not every tough workout has to involve a barbell. Try this complex.

A complex is a series of exercises performed one after the other without rest and using only one tool (barbell, kettlebell etc.) But if you ever get the urge to do a complex on a beach or in a forest, and don't have access to your kettlebells and dumbbells, you're basically out of luck. But with a suspension trainer you're ready to rock no matter where you find yourself.

This is a killer complex if you use it in an ascending fashion. Start with 1 rep of each exercise and move through all the exercises. On every following set, add a rep until you hit 8 reps per exercise. (In the video I filmed my set of 5 reps.)

  • A.  SHELC (Supine Hip-Extension Leg Curl)
  • B.  Push-Ups
  • C.  Core Worm
  • D.  Handstand Push-Ups
